Education ‘Transition of cities towards circular economy’

As a part of Circular Economy Balkan Beacons (CEBB) regular activities, CirEkon has organized two-day education for the employees in city administrations of Kragujevac and Novi Pazar. During the training, we have discussed about the key points those cities should address in terms of circularity in the coming years. The aim of this process is to prepare the chosen cities for the creation of a roadmap (proposed as part of the draft Action Plan of the Circular Economy Program of the Ministry of Environmental Protection). Also, the process intends to prepare the cities for applying for additional funds (from the EU and other funds) for the implementation of initiatives that promote innovative urban circularity. This innovative process will bring great changes to Serbian municipalities.

We will continue to collaborate with the participating cities in the future in order to start the circular transformation of Serbian municipalities.

If you would like to know more about circular cities, we invite you to join our webinar “Cities as beacons for circular economy – the roles of municipalities and private sector” that will be held on the 19th of October, at 11h CET.
